Hardware Architecture

Central Node

DEVICE COMPONENTS

• Board Computer: It is the computational device of the Central Node: it is responsible for the coordination beetween the identification of the tags and the notification system. It also stores the database.

• Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter: It is connected to the board computer and is responsible for the comunication between Central Node,Tags Nodes and User Interface Node.

• Wifi USB Adapter: It is connected to the board computer and is responsible for the comunication between the Central Node and the Web Server.

• Secondary User Interface (Beeper, Display): devices that allow the user to receive notifications if the User Interface Node isn't available.

User Interface Node

The User Interface Node is a mobile device like an Android smartphone or tablet with bluetooth 4.0 and internet connection.

Tags Nodes

Every tag is a little device, with a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, that the user can stick on desired objects. The tags are color coded, which helps the user differentiate them and avoid mix ups.
